Miss Thang (She/They) is an Indianapolis based drag artist and musician. Thang has been on stages since they were 5 whether it was playing piano and leading devotions in church, winning state competitions for clarinet, dancing professionally in college or performing in theater and show choir productions across the state.

As an adult Miss Thang found a way to combine their artistic abilities and creativity for drag. In 2020 they founded the ‘Haus of Cülture’ which quickly became the leading house for diversity in the city of indianapolis soon making waves across the Midwest region and beyond. Thang is a producer at Almost Famous for “Black Girl Magic Indy” which is the Indiana chapter of “BGM Chicago” and approved by The Vixen who created the original series in 2016. She also produces “MISSionary” at the Backdoor in Bloomington with corresponding shows “All the King’s Men” and “The Men’s Room” which focus on platforming and giving opportunities to drag kings and all male presenting performers.

This artist is all about creating safe spaces of equity and representation for underrepresented and marginalized performers. Having been apart of every production of IDT since it’s inception Thang is excited to join IDT’s council and for all upcoming projects.
